The End is Near…

The Vendee Globe challengers are approaching the end, which may come as early as this weekend. However, the drama has not stopped. Jean-Pierre Dick (still in third but surely to be passed soon),  has broken his keel, but is puttering along at a measly 11 knots. The skipper of Virbac -Paprec 3 has yet to abandon the race with just under 2000 NM to go…….

Alex Thomson Racing

Alex Thomson of Hugo Boss, says it best, the designers need to look back at the days of old where a keel would last the life of the boat not just once around the globe. They are not even lasting that long!

Good luck skippers!
