I see you!
Here we are aloft again. This time to try and (unsuccessfully) drop-in a new spare Main Halyard.
There was foam inside the mast for noise dampening. This foam caused our plumbers chain to get snagged on the way down….no matter how hard we tried.
Stevens 50 is a pretty slick little old schooler. Old being the operative word. The boat’s rigging showed more than its fair share of problems; spreader boots and halyard restrainers needed…
Bert Jabin’s is looking good as usual. It really is the best place for all of your full service needs in the Mid-Atlantic, without question.
While looking around I noticed the Dufour (560 ?) next to us has hoisted the furler swivel up over the top of the extrusion and has dislodged Facnor‘s wrap stop puck. YIKES! This could make the sail very hard to douse just FYI. Time to shorten the luff.
Mother Nature has blessed us once again with one of her beautiful HD quality days.
As always thanks for taking a look at the view. DON’T FORGET to click on the images for a closer look.
