With the increasing strength of synthetics, it is no longer necessary to have a spare hoop of wire taking up precious space. All of our emergency spare stay kits feature a 12-strand single braid line composed entirely of Vectran coated in a UV inhibitor. Two spliced loops allow you to “luggage tag” the stay to the turnbuckle and around the mast, and the Handi Lock turnbuckle from C. S. Johnson has flip-out levers that allow for easy tool-less manual tightening.

NOTE: Kit line & loop lengths are custom made to your boat. Boat make & model required for order to be completed. Mast specs may need to be verified before the order can be processed.

– Spare Stay (New England Ropes V12 Clear Vectran)
– T.R.C. Small Deck Loop

– Finishing Material (tape, zip ties, heat shrink)
