Forespar Yacht Rod rigid vang systems are fabricated from aluminum & polished stainless steel, with a white powdercoat finish. Return force is provided by an internal hardened stainless steel spring; a fast-pin adjustment allows the spring force to be adjusted on the fly. No hydraulic systems to maintain or airtight seals to replace.

Unless sold in a complete package, Yacht Rod vangs include the cylinder only. Forespar REQUIRES the use of Forespar mast & boom brackets in order to guarantee the integrity of the rigid vang system. Note that rigid vangs cannot be used if you have a sliding gooseneck or a roller boom. If you have an in-boom furling system, a specialized rigid vang with proper return force must be used as these systems are much heavier than conventional booms.

Complete package option includes Yacht Rod, mast & boom brackets, and control line tackle (Harken Classic Big Boat blocks & polyester line).
