C. Sherman Johnson lifeline fittings are the ultimate in strength, durability and aesthetics, giving you complete peace of mind. Standard duty life line fittings match the strength of 7×7 or 1×19 wire*.

The “Over Center” design has no load on the swinging hook when closed. This feature allows easy opening yet stays secure with a heavy split ring on the plunger latching device. Standard hooks have a 3-1/2″ grip length (from end of body to inside bearing surface) & 3-3/4″ overall length, while MINI hooks have a 2-3/4″ grip length & 3″ overall length. Investment cast T-316 Stainless, Stud not included.

*NOTE: Hand Crimp terminals, when properly applied, are approximately 65-70% of 7×7 wire strength. While this has proven adequate for life lines, CSJ does not approve use of these fittings for standing rigging or other high load applications. Instructions for attachment (sent with order) must be followed.
