3M 4000 UV is a versatile sealant that can be used for a wide variety of bedding, caulking, & sealing tasks. 4000 UV is resistant to weathering, salt water and stresses caused by joint movement. Seals between mechanically fastened joints on wood, fiberglass, metal and most plastics. Applications include sealing deck to hull joints, thru-hull fittings, window and door frames, etc. Paintable and resistant to UV degradation. Cures to a firm, rubbery waterproof seal while flexibility allows for dissipation of stress caused by shock, vibration, swelling or shrinking. Works especially well for ABS, Lexan and other plastics. Tack free in 2 hours, complete cure in 24 hours.
