Foot blocks must be engineered to withstand some of the highest loads on any boat. With that in mind, Schaefer offers two distinctive designs. Our M-Series utilizes Computer machine aluminum in conjunction with Torlon rollers and Delrin ball bearings. The more traditional series of Schaefer foot blocks is offered with either Aluminum or Stainless Steel top plates. This design uses a computer machined aluminum base as well as an aluminum sheave with ball bearings and our Nomex/Teflon self-lubricating bearing. Angle of deflection for total block loading is dependent not only on line load, but on the angle of deflection between line entry and exit.
