This short stud fits Blue Wave Gate Hooks & other short-threaded fittings.
Blue Wave rope end fittings are a new innovation allowing anyone with splicing knowledge to use synthetic line in places where previously only wire could be used due to fitting compatibility. Sleek and strong, these fittings can be assembled in minutes.
**NOTE: When replacing wire standing rigging with synthetic (e.g. Dyneema, Kevlar, etc), it is NOT appropriate to simply match the diameter or the breaking strength; the stretch characteristics must be considered as well (this typically means a thicker dyneema line than you might otherwise select).
