Handy Crimp hardware is for use in low-load applications only. When properly installed, these fittings develop approximately 70% of the strength of 7×7 cable matching the size of the fitting. For high load applications, professional machine swaging is recommended. The crimping process of this hardware is labor intensive and leaves three distinct crimp marks on the fitting, unlike machine swaging which produces a smooth finish. The Hayn Handy Crimp tool works on 1/8″ and 3/16″ wire sizes.
