Soft Shackles are lightweight, flexible alternatives to traditional metal shackles and require no tools to use. They are especially useful in applications where a quick change may be needed, such as on a headsail halyard or tack, or where a shackle would otherwise be “floating” such as attaching sheets to a genoa or spinnaker.
In addition, a line with an eye splice can be terminated using a soft shackle rather than tying off the end of the line, allowing the line to keep its full rated strength (the majority of knots reduce the strength of the line by 30-70%).

T.R.C. Soft Shackles include a release line spliced into the inner core, making it that much easier to remove quickly. Pull the release line to open up the eye.

Shackles are approximately 2″ in diameter. Larger sizes available upon request.
