Blue Wave Small “T” Rope Eye Fitting

Compact stainless steel rope eye terminal for high-performance UHMWPE and Dyneema® applications

The Blue Wave Small “T” Rope Eye is a precision-engineered
termination designed for modern high-performance synthetic rope systems.
Built for sailors pushing weight savings, clean deck layouts, and efficient
load paths, this compact fitting creates a secure interface between
UHMWPE/Dyneema® rope and traditional rigging hardware.

Manufactured from high-quality AISI 316L stainless steel and paired with
hard-anodized aluminum components where applicable, the Small “T” Rope Eye
combines corrosion resistance with a slim, performance-oriented profile.
It allows rope diameters from 5/32” up to 5/8” to integrate directly with
standard turnbuckles, toggles, and deck fittings.

Whether you’re optimizing a race boat, upgrading lifelines to Dyneema®,
or engineering a lightweight control system, this fitting provides a
clean mechanical termination without bulky splices or improvised lashings.

Designed for Performance and Smart DIY Installation

High-performance rope systems are increasingly common in standing rigging,
backstays, checkstays, lifelines, and structural soft attachments. The
Small “T” Rope Eye gives technically minded sailors and DIY builders a
refined, purpose-built solution that installs cleanly and integrates
seamlessly into modern hardware systems.

For sailors who don’t live near a full-service rigging shop — or who
prefer to build and service their own systems — Blue Wave rope fittings
offer professional-level hardware that can be assembled and maintained
with confidence.

Important Sizing Information

As with all T-style fittings, dimensional compatibility matters.
Before ordering, confirm that the head width, thickness, and length
match your existing mast socket, backing plate, or hardware interface.

When upgrading from wire or replacing an existing rope fitting,
verify rope diameter and hardware clearances to ensure proper seating
and full load transfer.

Why Choose the Blue Wave Small “T” Rope Eye?

For performance sailors, reducing weight aloft and eliminating excess
hardware matters. The Small “T” Rope Eye delivers a streamlined,
purpose-built solution that maintains strength while supporting
modern rope-based rigging systems.

Backed by more than 90 years of Danish stainless steel manufacturing
expertise, Blue Wave rope fittings combine proven metallurgy with
modern synthetic rigging innovation — giving racers, engineers,
and serious DIY sailors the hardware to build smarter systems.

Blue Wave rope T Eyes are small, lightweight and great for things like trapeze lines and runners on dinghies, skiffs and sport keelboats.

Select the 5mm rope diameter option for the 5-6mm fitting, and 7mm for the 7-8mm fitting.

**NOTE: When replacing wire standing rigging with synthetic (e.g. Dyneema, Kevlar, etc), it is NOT appropriate to simply match the diameter or the breaking strength; the stretch characteristics must be considered as well (this typically means a thicker dyneema line than you might otherwise select). Read more on this and see an equivalent stretch chart from Colligo Marine here.
